Tesoma Kunsthalle is a collective, self-organized studio and do-it-yourself-exhibition space all in one, founded by seven artists in fall 2014. We share the love for DIY, gritty beauty of suburbs and working too much, no matter what the time is.
Our works are fueled by the energy our teamwork gives to us, a superpower not easily matched. Tesoma Kunsthalle is participating 6th Triennial of Pirkanmaa with Tesoma Kunsthalle exhibition. The theme of the triennial in 2015 is Make yourself at home. Tesoma Kunsthalle artists have each approached this theme from various aspects: the evolution of Finnish suburbs, the identity of different families and homes, public and private spaces, immigration and life management. Each of the artists works with different techniques that vary from video to installation, drawing, animating and coding.
We happily welcome You to the opening of Tesoma Kunsthalle exhibition on Friday 4th of September at 18:00 – 20:00. That night we are also happy to celebrate the opening of new 3DIME online gallery. 3DIME is a collaboration between three Tesoma Kunsthalle artists. 3DIME will present the exhibition of artist duo Riina Palmqvist and Maria West. The official Tesoma opening of the 6th Triennial of Pirkanmaan will be held in Tesoma library on Saturday 12.9.2015 at 13.
On Saturday 26th of September, Tesoma Kunsthalle organizes the Suburban Art Run Seminar – Artist-run Communities in the Suburbs. The event will present professionals working in the field of contemporary art and culture that value working locally and autonomous activity. The participants will be announced in the Tesoma Kunsthalle webpage in the beginning of September. The event is free for all participants.
